Yes, all Akhuwat loans are 100% interest-free. We operate on the Islamic principle of Qarz-e-Hasna, which means 'beautiful loan' or 'benevolent loan'. Borrowers only repay the principal amount.
Any Pakistani citizen above 18 years of age with a valid CNIC can apply. Priority is given to those from lower-income backgrounds who demonstrate a genuine need and have a viable plan for using the loan.
You need a valid CNIC, recent photograph, proof of residence, and two guarantors from your community. For business loans, a brief business plan or description may also be required.
Typically, the approval process takes 2-4 weeks. This includes document verification, community assessment, and committee approval. We strive to make the process as quick as possible.
Loan amounts vary based on the type of loan and individual assessment. Business loans can range from PKR 20,000 to PKR 500,000. Education and housing loans may have different limits based on requirements.
Loans are repaid in easy monthly installments. You can pay at any Akhuwat branch, through bank transfer, or mobile payment methods. The repayment period ranges from 6 to 24 months depending on the loan amount.
A minimal processing fee may be charged to cover administrative costs, but this is not interest. The fee is transparent and disclosed upfront before loan approval.
